The Chubb Difference

Chubb's Service Standards and Core Values Win Award
Chubb was named "Best Overall Commercial Property/Casualty Insurer" in Business Insurance's inaugural Reader's Choice Awards for 2005. To identify the winners, subscribers were asked in a survey to evaluate insurance carriers with the strongest combination of service, value, quality and innovation.

In "Creativity, Attention to Each Client's Needs Sets Chubb Apart," a feature about Chubb, Tom Motamed, vice chairman and chief operating officer, observes that producers and customers want to do business with Chubb because of its high standards and "a very strong set of core values," which include honesty, integrity, empathy and fairness. He also stresses that to satisfy customers an insurance company must not only provide sound insurance policies but also offer outstanding service designed to support those products. • Chubb Receives Highest Rating (A++ Superior) From A.M. Best Company

The A.M. Best Company is the oldest, most experienced rating agency in the world and has been reporting on the financial condition of insurance companies since 1899. A Rating Report from the A.M. Best Company represents an independent opinion of a company's financial strength and ability to meet its obligations to policyholders.

In fact, relying on a half century of A.M. Best rating records, Best's Review reported in January 2004 that three Chubb Group of Insurance Companies were among a very few property and casualty insurers to have maintained a Best's Rating of A+ or higher every year for more than 50 years!

We hope that this Rating Report from A.M. Best Company and this historical insight will be helpful to you in discussing Chubb's financial stability and claims-paying ability with clients. [Original report date: 3/17/2005]
